Setup essentials

  • Use realistic commission, slippage, sizing, and Strategy Tester settings.

Important limitations

  • Strategy Tester fills are simulated under TradingView assumptions and are not an actual performance record.
  • Using another symbol, timeframe, chart type, data source, or setting changes the model and its output.
  • Bar Magnifier and historical data availability can affect simulated results.
